Easy MLS Import: Expired Leads for the Areas No Data Service Covers

If you work in one of the many MLS areas covered by Mojo’s Expired Data service, your expired and off-market leads simply show up. The service receives them, updates them, and keeps your pipeline current without you lifting a finger. It is one of the quietest advantages in Mojo.

But not every MLS area works that way. Some boards are not covered by any expired data service at all, Mojo’s or anyone else’s. If you prospect in one of those areas, automation has never been on the table. Your only option has been the manual route: log into your MLS, export a spreadsheet, and then fight with it. Match this column to that field, decode each board’s status codes, trim what does not belong, and finally import the file and hope it took. And after all that, many of the records still arrive without the one thing you need to make a call: the owner’s name and phone number.

That is the gap Easy MLS Import closes. If no service covers your area, this new feature gets you as close to automated as it can, without any of the headaches of exporting, mapping, and importing large MLS files.

What’s new

Easy MLS Import, included with your Skip Tracer subscription, lives in the Mojo Expired data area. If your MLS is not covered, use the “Don’t see your MLS?” link and upload the raw export straight from your board. From there, Mojo takes over:

• Automatic mapping. The importer recognizes the header and status variations used by MLS boards across the country and maps your columns to the right Mojo fields on its own. No manual matching, no template building, no wrestling with a 10,000-row spreadsheet. Listing details like status, list price, MLS ID, and days on market come along for the ride.
• Skip Tracer fills the gaps. As soon as your import finishes, Skip Tracer automatically runs on just the records you imported. Where the owner’s name is missing, it finds it. Where the name is present, it appends phone numbers and contact info.
• Straight to prospecting. When the trace completes, your contacts land in Data & Dialer ready to go. No extra prompts, no re-selecting records.

Your part of the job shrinks to two steps: export the file from your MLS and upload it. Everything between you and a prospecting ready list is handled.

Why it matters

Agents in uncovered MLS areas have been competing at a disadvantage through no fault of their own. Their peers in covered markets get fresh expired leads delivered daily while they spend evenings doing spreadsheet surgery, or skip the expired game entirely.
